Authenticated (Subscriber+) SQL injection in a WordPress image-metadata plugin

The vendor will be notified under a 90-day coordinated-disclosure window; the affected software and technical detail are revealed automatically on the reveal date.

Summary

a WordPress image-metadata plugin exposes several AJAX actions that build $wpdb queries by string-concatenating request input. The handlers carry no nonce and no capability check beyond being logged in, and sanitize_text_field() — the only "sanitization" applied — does not neutralize SQL metacharacters. On sites with open registration this is effectively unauthenticated. The affected release is all current versions.

No fixed version exists. Site owners should temporarily deactivate the plugin.
