Unauthenticated SQL injection in a WordPress newsletter-subscription plugin

The email-confirmation flow of a WordPress newsletter-subscription plugin is vulnerable to unauthenticated SQL injection in its current release, reachable from ordinary frontend pages and shortcodes. The vendor will be notified under a 90-day coordinated-disclosure window; details are revealed automatically on the reveal date.

CriticalCoordinated disclosure
Summary

a WordPress newsletter-subscription plugin processes subscription-confirmation requests by concatenating request parameters into $wpdb queries without prepare(). The vulnerable block is copy-pasted across the main plugin file and two frontend templates that render via shortcodes and widgets — all reachable without authentication or nonces. Boolean and time-based oracles allow full database extraction. The affected release is current release.

Site owners should deactivate the plugin until a fix ships.
